Not My Will, but Your Will

I was reading another blog a few minutes ago and it reminded me of something I thought about in church.  During Praise & Worship, there was a song about praising around the throne.  It made me think that Peyton could be doing that very thing.  Heaven is so real to me and it seemed very close at that moment.

My mind is on the eternal, not just about Peyton but EVERYTHING that is permanent and forever.  The people that are coming to know Jesus, every time we speak the Word of God to someone, every time we lay aside our will and do the will of our Father, these things are eternal.  It was also said in church today, “not my will, but Your will”; that is where I am.   Thank you Lord, because that is what it is going to take to get the job done.  When Pastor was preaching, I wanted to stand up and tell everyone we had to get busy because it has been so long since I have seen my son and I am ready.  I know it is not about me, but it makes me KNOW my real home is Heaven.

The Harvest is ready, will you go?

You are so right Becky! I have been hearing the same thing spoken into my life lately also. Yeild... surrender... not my will but Your will.
I am going... first before Him and then before others.
Thank you Becky for reminding me of the eternal in all of my actions, this moment, this day!

Hi Becky,

I just found your blog from Tammy's.

My heart truly goes out to you as your long to see your son again.

I just read the story and was in tears.

My mom lost her 18 year old son, suddenly also.

I remember everything about that night, long, long ago.

Praying for God to continue to pour out his love and comfort to you.

I long for His return too. Come Quickly Lord!

So nice to meet you♥

This post is so true! The Lord wants to carry us. He loves us so and knows our hurts.

I love to know that you are living in victory not defeat, joy and not sorrow, selflessness and not selfishness!!! We are working together Becky to do our part and it is an amazing ride. We are SO privileged to have the Jackson family in our company - Peyton is just working from the other side... :)

In my readings the other day, I came across this from Philippians 1:23-24 that really hit home.

23For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better:

24Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you.

So I abide here, while my eyes look to Christ, to Heaven, to Eternity!
