I’m an Oak of Righteousness

I'm showing my joy more today than I have in awhile.

Isaiah 61:2-3

2 to proclaim the year of the LORD's favor
and the day of vengeance of our God,
to comfort all who mourn,

3 and provide for those who grieve in Zion—
to bestow on them a crown of beauty
instead of ashes,
the oil of gladness
instead of mourning,
and a garment of praise
instead of a spirit of despair.
They will be called oaks of righteousness,
a planting of the LORD
for the display of his splendor.

I like that verse.

An oak grows slowly at times, but its constant and steady growth is part of what makes it so strong.

Indeed, as the Lord grows us, He makes us stronger, little by little. It was good to hear from you on my blog. I think of you often. The anniversary of my nephew's death just passed and his birthday is in two weeks...and so it has been two years, now.
The verse you read and left on my blog is one I always include in the scrapbooks I make for people with new babies...I love that the Lord delights in each one of His children. Take care. Susie
