11 Months

It has been 11 months today since I have seen my son. Time is a contradictory thing in this situation. On one hand it seems like forever since I have talked to Peyton, on the other, I remember his funeral like it was yesterday. I know this sounds odd, but Peyton's funeral rocked. I smile when I think of the kids that spoke. I am joyful when I think of the songs that Rodney and the Praise Team sang, it couldn't have been better.

I tell myself several times a day that I will see Peyton again and I believe it. It feels like it could be soon. Could it be soon, or is it that my mind just can't comprehend going on for 40 more years without him? I don't know. That is why we have to "Do business" until He comes. (Luke 19:13)

I will be about His business, seizing the opportunities that come across my path, showing God's love, and glorifying my Lord and Savior.

Now I am going to seize some wrapping paper and finish wrapping some Christmas presents.

Another thought........... Heaven is even better than Christmas

You know, I didn't realize that it has been that long, but I was just thinking about Peyton's home going (or funeral) just yesterday. You know, I have never lost a child, but I was very close to my brother, and I just rest in the fact that he is there already, in heaven's grandstands cheering me and my family on. Maybe he and Peyton know each other now! I think they would like each other! They are both people that just everyone can't help but like!

Time is a strange thing. Once you spend it, you never get it back.

And look at you blogging like a conqueror... and apparently that's not enough. You're going to conquer the wrapping too! Go Becky, go Becky, go....!

Hey, check out this deep quote I just made up about time: "time is deeper than the ocean that doesn't exist" -JS

I do think of the people Peyton knows now. We like to think he knows Stuart, the son of the couple we went to see in Colorado. Who knows?

Thanks Jake, as for the ocean thing...your too deep...get it...I'm punny...there I go again. Hehe

I have to confess, a friend of Peyton's came over last Saturday and helped me make some candy and wrap presents. She did the majority of my wrapping, I just had about 4 to do today. They are done, I just need to finish shopping, only about 3 more to go!!

You should have a "bring a friend to work day" so I can partake of your free cokes/cappuccinos... yum!!

But what is a sonic ice machine? Is it tiny ice circles instead of big cubes? If so, guess what... we have those too! I love them.

Wow, I can't believe it's been 11 months! I had a very close friend pass away 2 years ago in May. It's so cool to think about the reunion it will be when we all get to Heaven! Think of how much joy there will be!
I haven't even started wrapping presents...I love doing it, I just haven't taken the time yet...

Becky!! Way to go on the RSS thing......you'll have to let me know if it ends up being a help and not a hindrance... I know I like it. :)

Peyton moved home on Pastor's birthday so I don't think I will ever forget it either. There are always 'whys' with situations like this. I'm glad you're not allowing yourself to dwell upon them. Unless the Lord reveals the real 'why', we only come up with the wrong answer on our own anyway. I'm glad you are determined to finish your course. You and Tom are amazing!! And loved! :) BTW, I am still buying and haven't even started wrapping!
