Today is a good day for a list; things I am thankful for. I'm having a positive, victorious day, but there is something on the fringes of my mind that is trying to influence how I live my day today. It is the first day of school. It would have been Peyton's Sr. year. I know he is living it up in Heaven and I am jealous. I would love to be with him, but I have God given assignments to finish here on earth.
Father God, bring to my mind new things to be thankful for, things I haven't thought of before.
I am thankful for:
getting to know a friend from Michigan, as she prepares to move to this area.
a blessed day for all the students going back to school
your Word touching my life in new and exciting ways.
a closeness to you unlike anything I've experienced before.
the journey
the destination
more of You and less of me.
Lord, I thank You for Your love. I thank you for the precious blood of Jesus. In You I have complete victory.

Becky, I can't begin to fathom your grief, but we know the One who does. I pray that God will bring a special peace this week . Satan seems to taunt us with all that could have been, even though God has a greater purpose. My daughter has been sick with a chronic disease since she was a senior in HS. She has had some really good time, but right now she is having a bad time, and the temptation is to constantly ask why, and then to be angry when God chooses not to heal her, when I know He can. I have to constantly remind myself His ways are not my ways. I know you already know all these things, but I do care and say keep holding on to the One who knows every tear you have shed. Jackie
I love the last sentence of this post. In Him we have complete victory. That's such an awesome reality!
What a fantastic outlook. It is so true. I told my nephew (his dad is the one that died)one day that a person has two choices, to be bitter or better. I choose to be better.
